As a continuation of the post made in 2021, I did not want to miss the opportunity to name 6 others. web design trends<\/strong> who will try to collect prominence this 2022,<\/strong> some more interesting than others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While I believe that the web trends<\/strong> serve more as play experiments<\/strong> I do find it interesting to observe and learn new ways of communicating in an attractive way, and why not, try some of the novelties and styles suggested by the greats of web design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 - Scrollytelling<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The merger between \"scroll<\/strong> and storytelling,<\/strong> or how to tell a history<\/strong> while the user scrolls down our website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The idea is to dynamically intermingle different elements in order to create an effect of discovery and make the visitor want to keep scrolling to reveal what lies below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the scroll effects<\/strong> that we already mentioned in the 2021 post have a lot to do (resizing, interactive backgrounds etc.) scrollytelling goes beyond that. We are not talking about simply adding scrolling effects for aesthetic purposes, but more about narrative.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus, images, texts and all visual elements dance in harmony following a certain logic, very well planned, in order to convey a story<\/strong> to our visitor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of the websites that have captivated me thanks to scrollytelling are Infrared<\/a><\/strong> and Kalso<\/a><\/strong>vegan footwear company, a little more spectacular but perhaps a little overdone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 \u2013 <\/strong> Horizontal scroll<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Until now, when I discovered with my mobile phone that I could swipe from right to left on a website, it was proof that it was a carelessly designed website, as the horizontal scroll, <\/strong>generally avoided, is due to margins or paddings<\/strong> that have slipped off the screen of the device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, I found it really interesting how a flaw can become a trend, of course, without it being a question of neglected spaces but of a new, more modern and more modern way of living. original way to navigate <\/strong>in one place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A couple of sites worth experiencing are If the moon were only 1 pixel<\/a><\/strong> or the Canadian brand Home Society<\/a>. <\/strong>Even if the horizontal scrolling goes against a consensus<\/strong> as deep-rooted as scroll down<\/strong> on a website, in certain sections it can work by creating a surprising interaction<\/strong> for the user.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3 - Brutalist typography<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Every year there is a font trend. 2021 was the year of large or XL typefaces. This year, 2022 seems to be even more concrete and we are talking about \"brutalism<\/a>\". In reality, it is a term that comes from the architecture<\/strong> and refers to an architectural style that came to prominence in the mid-20th century, characterised by a rough and rugged appearance<\/strong> and whose basic materials are visible from the outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus, the brutalist typography<\/strong> is that dry, hard typeface, generally thick and with a urban nuance,<\/strong> which stands as a contrast to the minimalism that prevails these days in web design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some examples that I have loved are the Miratrix<\/a><\/strong> or the Monument Extended<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
